What are the uses of the bearing's tightening sleeve and fixing ring?
When bearings have tapered holes, the most commonly used component is the tight sleeve, as it can be used to make optical or trapezoidal shafts. This shaft sleeve is easy to install and does not require additional fixation on the shaft. When using a fastening sleeve on the optical shaft, the bearing can be positioned anywhere on the shaft. When the synchronous ladder ring is used synchronously, the bearing can be axially positioned, which also facilitates the removal of the bearing.
Generally, the bearing fastening sleeve adopts an interference fit, which is used for large axial tension without adjusting the axial position, such as the rear wheel half shaft bearing of an automobile. At the same time, the outer wall of the fastening sleeve can be polished with a mirror surface, and the full oil seal can meet the requirements of oil tightness and water tightness. Therefore, the fastening sleeve can be used as a seal for the shaft end. During machining, the inner diameter is usually around 0.05. If the axial tension is large, the interference can increase to 0.08.
The fastening sleeve is used to fix tapered hole self-aligning bearings (self-aligning ball bearings, self-aligning roller bearings) on a shoulderless shaft. It has simple structure, reliable operation, and is easy to replace. It is widely used in industries such as textile, light industry, papermaking, metallurgy, belt transportation, and transportation equipment.
Before installing the bearing, the mounting surface of the fastening sleeve should be carefully cleaned to avoid sharp corners and burrs. If any protruding parts are found, they should be promptly polished with professional sandpaper to avoid mutual wear between the bearing and the shaft, which may affect the assembly accuracy. The friction surfaces through which the shaft passes should be coated with yellow oil.
Installation steps of bearing adapter sleeve
1. Grease the inner diameter, outer diameter, and thread of the fastening sleeve;
2. Assemble the fastening sleeve and bearing together, initially lock them with a lock nut or hydraulic nut, and inject high-pressure oil into the end face at the same time;
3. Lock and adjust the bearing clearance with a lock nut. After adjusting the clearance, directly lock or install the bearing with a hydraulic nut to adjust the clearance. Remove the hydraulic nut and lock it with a lock nut.
Disassembly steps
When loading and unloading the fastening sleeve, apply grease to the threads on the fastening sleeve. Remove the nut and apply grease to the end surface contacting the bearing;
Inject high-pressure oil into the oil hole on the end face of the oil pump fastening sleeve, and under the action of high-pressure oil, forcefully rotate the disassembly nut or hydraulic nut to withdraw the fastening sleeve.
Removing the fastening sleeve bearing not only requires a bearing remover, but also requires attention to some components of the fastening sleeve bearing, which can be easily and successfully removed. If you do not pay attention to these components, the bearings may be damaged. The following are precautions for removing the bearing on the fastening sleeve: When removing the bearing on the fastening sleeve, the axial locking device must be removed: lock nut, end cap, etc.
When disassembling small and medium-sized bearings, use a lock nut, hook wrench, or impact wrench to loosen the bearing.
The method of removing large bearings is to use hydraulic nuts. If the threaded portion of the shaft sleeve protrudes from the shaft end or shoulder, the support ring should be inserted into the sleeve hole, and the wall of the support ring should be as thick as possible to avoid deformation and damage to the threads during nut tightening when using hydraulic pressure. It is recommended to add a barrier to the hydraulic nut end, such as through the shaft end. If the fastening sleeve suddenly separates from the shaft seat, a barrier can be used to prevent the fastening and hydraulic nut from completely withdrawing from the shaft. The fastening sleeve for large bearings generally has oil distribution grooves, which allows oil injection and greatly reduces the time required for installation and disassembly of large bearings.
